32 y/o
6’2”, 350 lb., 22.5 BMI

I was as low as 225 lb. (14 BMI) just 5 years ago, but then I met my now-wife. I let myself go, but I continue to lift.

Diet is the biggest component to weight loss. You can exercise all you want, but if you’re shoving garbage down your gullet, the scale will not be kind to you.

My long-term goal is to maintain between 200 lb. and 225 lb. for 5 years by the time I celebrate my 40th birthday.

When I last dropped a load of weight, I went from 390 lb. to 225 lb. in 18 months. No drastic diets, just ate when I was hungry, 90 minutes a day of cardio and weightlifting, very low carbohydrate intake (<10 mg/day), and most of that was from fruit.

6’3”, 250 lbs., 59 years old. I want to get down to 230 or less by my 60th birthday (March 7). In the 220s is a good weight for me. Today I get back on the elliptical treadmill, start back up with the sit-ups and the free weights.

I tip my hat to you Laz, you have a sense of humor asking this on Jan. 1st, LOL!

5’2” and after this holiday 135#’s. I am in need of a 10# drop immediately! Feeling like the guts of a sausage in my jeans! Squeezed.

5’5” and 115 pounds. I struggle to maintain it..which always annoys people. If I get sick, I will easily drop five pounds and it takes me months to gain it back. The maternal side of the family tends towards the opposite; I inherited the skinny gene from Dad’s side.

I’m always getting “Have you lost MORE weight”..or “Good grief girl, eat some desserts!” No one would ever think of making disparaging comments like that to a larger person. It’s rather embarrassing.

73 ..... 6’ 230+
(<:)At one time would be referred to as ‘pleasingly plump) (’nice’ people that is) I just say I have a permanent flotation device attached to my waist, still wear off the rack 38-30 although I discovered the 38 gets lower as time progresses, and, as a result, the legs are longer these days...

BUT seeing as I figured even money on never seeing 50, things aren’t so awful bad.

Happy New Year to ALL!

BTW (in case you haven’t guessed) the height/weight proportion is terribly distorted......
