The other cats favorite toy is a straw, a simple straw. He will steal them from my soda or shake if I am watching it closely. He has yet to spill a drink getting the straw out, just turns his head, bites, pulls and runs like all get out.
One of mine is obsessed with foam-rubber earplugs. Maybe he wants to go to the range.
When we first brought Apple home from the shelter, we bought her a few toys. The usual stuff - balls with jingle bells in them, mice. She quickly got bored with them and started stealing pens and binder clips off my wife’s desk.
Monkey, who was born in our house, learned the joy of killing plastic bags at a very early age (about 5-6 weeks as I recall) and will play with almost anything that isn’t nailed down.
Patch (Monkey’s mother) doesn’t really play much but every so often she’ll present us with a toy mouse as if she had just killed it. We can tell when she’s about to do this, as she lets out a few distinct meows; they probably have that distinct sound because she’s meowing with a stuffed toy in her mouth.
