Well, today I visited one gun shop and emailed another that always quickly responds because I’m one of their premium customers.
The one in my town (Jasper Bargain Barn)is completely sold out of anything .223/5.56/.308 and AR or AK related.
I enquired to AO by email...they are out of everything like that too. Even the very expensive FN SCARs (you’re talking about $2000-$3500, here)....
So, you may be right. We’ll have to see if they can restock at all in the next 30-60 days.
Thank you for the research survey, and reply. I’ve found the same in both major cities in Oklahoma, and county seats between the cities. I canvassed 11 shops on my short trip. I was looking online last night at all the usual gun sites and everything was reflected as sold out. My client this morning told me he sold his AR-10 (.308) for a thousand more than what he paid two months ago. someone really wanted it bad, I guess.
Ammo is starting to get scarce around here. Mags are depleted.
