Darn good points.
Men back then also wore perfume, jewelry and lace. Not uncommonly makeup.
Question their masculinity in their hearing and they’d demonstrate it in the most effective way possible, by removing your’s.
That of course doesn’t change the fact that these materials have different meanings in today’s world.
What is really weird is that men’s clothing has changed little in about 100 years. Silent movies from the 20s show men wearing basically what they do today, with minor changes in cut.

When you are a man, sometimes you wear stretchy pants in your room. It's for fun.

It's not surprising that these men's tights are taking NYC by storm — the place is filled with liberal metrosexuals and gay poofters. Really sharp duds, dude. It's just a gay thing, you know!

Im still waiting for the male purse to catch on, the press has been telling us that it is, for almost 40 years now.It already caught on. It's called the concealed carry holster, AKA man purse.

I have underarmour tights for working out when it is cold, but not as a fashion accessory.
Would that be long underwear?
To: Ken522
The only time tights might be acceptable is for their utility - they are good for runs on cold mornings because they keep the legs warm, but otherwise .. no deal!
But would you really use tights or long underwear? Didn't Joe Namath wear pantyhose for something or other?

They're quite popular in Europe.
Haven't you ever thought it would be easier to have a satchel (if that word is more comfortable to you) to carry your stuff in, rather than just pockets? I guess that's what briefcases are used for, and now laptop cases.
