Well, I always had long hair back then too. And Granny’s house didn’t have any built in tubs. There was one galvinized tub hangin on a nail outside,

That tub wasn’t used that except in freezing weather on Saturday night to maked sure we were extra clean to get ready for church on Sunday. It was set up in the Kitchen with a sheet hung up for a little privacy.

We had to take turns, and no lollygagin’ around was allowed either. Rest of the time you showered outside or used a metal basin of water on the back porch. And you better have clean ears and feet or you were in trouble.

Scary part is that I've got parachute cord stretched across the large kitchen near the ceiling to separate the areas if required.

I sorta live like that.

Mostly though, I use the paracord to hang handwashed laundry.

Once upon a time, I made real money, and stored my clothes in a dryer so they were warm and wrinkle free when I got out of the hot shower. (Single guy trick. Start the hot water for the shower, hit the button on the dryer. SS&S. Dress, and gone in 4 minutes)
