I hear a lot about preppers who are convinced that they can survive with gold, guns, and other supplies.
Unfortunately, you will be shortly overrun by the massive hordes of those who do not have what you have.
You would need an army to protect you and your treasures.
The first key to survival is to be out of the way of the ‘hordes’ Far enough out of the way so that their foraging in the urban and suburban areas disperses them.
Second is low profile.
These ‘hordes’ won’t be the “Walking Dead” type who can walk and exist on nothing for decades; they’re still human (at least by some standards) and vulnerable to all sorts of calamity, fighting amongst themselves, for instance.
You just enjoy yourself on your little island and don’t worry about the rest of us.
As for being overrun, you have no idea of what my defenseive posture is, or that of any other on this thread.
