I think if Texas got the ball rolling, you would see other Red States follow. I looked at the electoral map and imagined what that might look like. Red States would have coastal regions, agriculture, oil and lots of room for growth. The Blues would be screwed as no one in their right mind would stay in NYC or LA, New England would be screwed and would love to see the illegals et al flock to western California, NY etc to get their freebies. Hasta la vista, Baybee

We’ve got 38 EVs. That’s guaranteed EVs for the Republican nominee...it’s time Texas Republicans start putting leverage on the National GOP...Currently because of the F’d Up primary system, Texas has no voice is who is the nominee.

I think you’re right and what’s wrong with the idea. Nothing says we have to live together. Why should one third of the states get to dictate to the rest who will be president. Let them have their socialism. I see the country breaking up into three. The northeast and great lakes states, the west coast and the rest. That was the beauty of the system the founders set up. If you don’t like what your state is doing move to another more to your liking. I’d be all for it because I only see the two sides becoming more and more divided which will only lead to conflict. I would hope that my state of Colorado would join with the red but lately it’s looking pretty blue.

I see the country breaking up into three.

Former Latin geeks will remember ... All Gaul is divided in three parts. ...

I also see a (mostly) peaceful split. It's time to go our separate ways.

In any relationship, you fight to make it work ... and at some point you say "well, it's all been laid out on the table honestly, and we just don't see the world the same way"

For once, we could just agree to disagree, no need to live with each other's choices, no need to be angry.

But we would also need a strong anti-immigration policy addressing those in the other US, because within 3 years, they'd be climbing over our fences trash-picking our yards and bank accounts. Strict anti-anti-gun-control laws will be helpful at that point. And I did mean "anti" twice.
