Anyone know anything about retiring in Costa Rica?
Technically, that's not accurate, sir.
Washington was born in Westmoreland County, Virginia. Jefferson was born in Albemarle County, Virginia. Ben Franklin, born in Boston, MA.
Even Arnold, Benedict (major general) was born in Norwitch, Conneticut.
Hamilton was born in St. Nevis... but I don't think much of him. Sam Adams, born in Boston, had his number.
Thanks for playing. Please try again.

Oil and Gas? Need to visit Houston you might like it.
That would be near Ft. Worth bouts.
I think they will here. I am begging my children to get out of their government ruled accounts and have personal accounts.
Been to Houston a gazillion times. Used to work there 3 days a week for a couple of years.
Just watch out for that sonofabitch VanOwen.
You’re welcome! My cousin has been there for about 15 years now. Went down in her 20s with the intention of opening a Christian children’s home. Married an awesome local guy and he is totally on board with her mission. Long story short, there has been a TON of bureaucratic red tape at every turn, from getting permits, to purchasing land, to getting permits for the children, and pretty much anything else you can imagine, so they have only recently completed the first home. It has been around a decade in the works.
That said, I guess it really depends what you have in mind. I know that more and more North Americans are vacationing and even moving there for work or retirement. It is a very American-friendly country. Lots of English is spoken and MANY places accept U.S. currency, which are both great perks if you want to visit and see for yourself (especially the English part, if the language is a concern for you. Everyone I’ve come into contact with there has been very patient with my Spanish, thank goodness!)
If you are serious about leaving the formerly great U.S., CR certainly has its flaws (my cousin has plenty negative to say about the socialism, obviously!), but you could definitely do worse.
Good luck!
I hear Belize is nice.
I used to date a little cutie from Lake Jackson. I really liked East Texas, it reminded me of the Florida Panhandle except our beaches are about a hundred times better.
The rural people are just like the people back home. Friendly and helpful and they expect you to be friendly too. She went to East Texas Baptist College.I remember the drivers in that area would pull over to the paved shoulder to let you by so you didn’t have to pass in an other lane.
I am with you. I prep and have support.
So says Yusuf Islam.
I was dumbfounded to realize that people don’t pull over onto the shoulder like that in all states. That is so NORMAL here...and not just in the eastern part of the state.
How do you get that tag line after your FR name? I looked and could see no way to do it. I want to add one.
Weird. I’ve been there four times and I’ve never noticed a hooker. Hmmm...I guess it depends where you are hanging out.
Lake Jackson. Friendly people alright.
Tagline? When you post look below for tagline area.
You will not believe how much Houston has grown. Oil and Gas Business is booming.
Guess they don’t have books for learning for $500 a month.
I was in Houston on biz about 6 months ago... Houston is Oil and Gas “central”. I know it really well.
Why? Nepal's Maoist Communist Party runs the government.
