Northeast FReepers who were affected by Sandy, please check in here when/if you have power to let us know your status. Tell us what, if anything, you need so we can organize help or get help to you. If you can, share your story with us. Tell us how you weathered the storm, what the condition is of your house or property, loved ones, pets, neighbors, etc.
You're in our thoughts and prayers. If we can help in any way, let us know!
I only have GeeBee’s first name.
Good to know that Dolly is okay .... now ... we need everyone else to check in.
Glad to hear you are all ok. My old neighborhood in PA lost power - I’ve been checking with several neighbors and all are ok, although a bit cold and ready for electricity to come back on. Only other complaint was the noise from generators keeping water out of basements..... I think they are ready for some peace and quiet.
Thank you, dear. FReepmail!
Thanks for the ping and caring. We’re great here south of Richmond, VA.
I’m getting in the shower now...
Guys, whomever is praying, please add longtime Freeper, and my friend, Repubmommy to your prayers. She hasn’t posted in a few years, has been really busy, but she’s in NJ in the middle of the mess. She’s been keeping in touch as best as possible since the storm, and the last I heard (this morning), she was sitting in her car, in tears because she finally managed to find a little gas. She’s a strong chick; she’ll make it okay, but she and her family could use your prayers.
Thanks.

Thanks Mark!

But for the rest, the liberal entrenchment there makes it very hard to care very much. The stories of NY'ers taking a dump in their apartment halls just cements what I already thought of them and the cesspool they choose to live in.
Maybe the Man decided the place needed a big flushing? Yeah, I am a cold MF.
Stay safe, keep your guns and ammo at hand and ride it out.
Michigan here, nothing but cold brrrrrrr...
Had a black walnut on the farm, pain in the neck when they drop from a tree they are the size of a baseball had to pick them all up to cut the grass, but make a great dye for fiber or fabric. Had a nasty ice storm one year and it took down a couple of big branches, used it for fire wood, didn’t know it was worth anything until some stranger passed by and ask if we had any already cut...he almost cried when we told him we used it in the wood burning stove. He was a carver...To open the shell we used hubbys vice....much harder than walnuts
Saw a report about high winds and waves on Lake Michigan.
Stay warm and thanks for checking in, GG.
Toronto here. Big problem was wind, lots of downed trees, minor damage and power outages throughout the city, one fatality when a woman was hit by a sign that came down. Everything was back to normal by Wednesday.
Canada Ping!
TTIJFWP!!!
Here in eastern Pa.....been out of power since mid day monday. Generator ran the pellet stove, the fridge, the sump pump and the kegerator. Power came on 5am this morning. Been coking out on the grill. We are very fortunate. Thank you, Lord!
Did find out that if I powered the FiOS wall unit where it comes in, power the TV, Stereo, and DVD and IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!! Had TV!! Dummy didnt figure it out until last night. Ribs and beer were good! Prayers to those effected a lot worse than us and there are millions.
Had lost power on Tuesday, very early morning, to very late at night on Tuesday night. Live in CT.
