Wishing everybody a peaceful Lord's Day

I've been reading all the posts from the last week,
And wish I could reply to each of you....
So many are hurting or are ill,
And my prayers are going out for every one.
What a horrible time to be sick, at Thanksgiving!

Rus, I hope by today, you and the Mrs. are feeling much better!

TCP, what a horrible thing to happen to your throat! Hope the medication is helping!

JC, I am SO thankful that the docs didn't find a clot! Hope the swelling is going down, by now, and your back is doing better.
Is Nikki out of the hospital? I'm praying for her!
I am glad you enjoyed your dinner at the Cracker Barrel. They always do a good job, don't they?

JC and Meggers, I just LOVED the pictures of those darling g-grandbabies! SOooo precious!

Luvie - you got TWO cats? They are beautiful! Congratulations - and enjoy them both!

Diver Dave, I'm so glad that your family got together for Thanksgiving! I am sure it was a wonderful day for all!

Conor, you said 'the bird is in the oven', which tells me the whole family was there, too! I hope everybody left the table stuffed to the gill!

LTOS - I loved your graphic of "Lin-DUH" at the shore! And, here's another "HUG" for you, today!

WVNan, every fall, I think of you and the song, "Country Roads" - as W Va is SO beautiful in Autumn.

Gail, your whoopie pies need to be in MY kitchen! They wouldn't last a minute!

Lonestar, I hope you didn't come across any squirrels or cats for Thanksgiving!

Teenie, I must have missed what you did for Thanksgiving. I'll bet the family enjoyed a great meal together!

Geologist, I hope you and your family enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving together.

Amy, I am also imagining you, Marissa and the rest of the Just family, sharing a day of Thanks together! (No Italian food, was there?)

Meg, I hope your back is feeling a bit better today!
I am sure you had an enjoyable time with your neice, and dinner at your daughter's!
I'm glad other's pitched in to do the dishes. That's the HARD part about Thanksgiving!

On Wednesday, my son, wife and two daughters arrived from California, and my daughter, her husband and three daughters arrived from Colorado! (She brought SIX pies from the Villiage Inn!)

On Thanksgiving, I took them all to breakfast at the Coffee Pot, where everybody got what they wanted. Then, for dinner, we all went to a lovely restaurant, and again - everybody ordered what they wanted. My son and I were the only ones to order the Traditional Turkey dinner - and was it ever GOOD! I also picked up a prepared turkey dinner at the market - so everyone could have turkey 'left-overs' the next day. They all devoured most of that on Friday! It was such a blessing to have them all here, and the girls kept the dishes done. (WHEW!)

They all LOVED Shanah, and played with her for hours!

They all headed back home yesterday. My son's family visited the Grand Canyon, before heading to CA, and my daughter's car headed home to Colorado (a twelve hour drive.) They all arrived home safely last night, and I am trying to readjust to a quiet house, today.

And, Shanah is STILL looking for everybody! She is even looking under the couch for them!

Have a BLESSED Sunday, everyone!

For some reason the picture doesn’t come up.
Right click the red ‘x’ and select “Show Picture” - then it will show.
Sorry about that - I am having trouble with tinypic - so I did not use it. :-(

Thank you for your kindness, Yorkie!

I think I like codeine. That’s probably not a good thing.

What a wonderful post you presented this morning. So glad your family was with you.

We had brunch on Thanksgiving morning with all our daughters and families. One daughter’s in-laws were here from England and we had a great time together. They flew home this morning. Please pray for our daughter’s father-in-law. He is undergoing treatment for a brain tumor (cancer).

After the morning brunch which was purchased at Marie Calendars, Our three daughters and families spent the afternoon with our sons-in-law’s families.

I would also ask prayers for our 2nd daughter, Shelley. She will undergo surgery in late December and her husband will undergo back surgery.

Lin and I wish to honor our troops throughout the world for the job they do. I’ve been viewing some U-tube posts which honor our troops and their families. I have to grab a few Bounty towels to wipe away the tears that flow when I watch dedications to our Armed Forces. I have no regrets for the tears I shed for my fellow military and veterans. Those tears will always flow and I’ll get another roll of Bounty.

I praise you for being the person you are. May God continue to Bless you provide the healing you need from last year.

I’ve rattled on for a few minutes, but your love for our FRiends and troops should inspire all to join those ranks. I will always honor our troops, past and present. It is an honor to be among them. Salute to your Marine!
