Hope things are good on the King’s Ranch. Is your weather cool these days?

Thank you, Dear FRiend! We're having a Cold Snap Right Now, after Many Days of Unseasonably Warm Temperatures, and I Feel like a Popsickle, Lol.
It's Supposed to Warm Back Up in a Few Days.
I just Wish we could get a Good Rain; the Drought Around Here is still Awful. :(

That is the Cutest Kitty in your #918, Dear Jaycee! It Always Brings a Smile to my Heart when I See a Pic of a Kitty,
One of the Best Gifts our Lord has Given to us on this Earth.

((((Goodnight to All FRiends, and God Bless)))))

A great graphic you presented. Thank You!!!

Around our house we have two dogs... a beautiful Golden Retriever and a beautiful Bechone Freise. One is a lap-dog and the other is content to just receive and our warm love.

As Christmas now approaches, our neighborhood is dislaying Christmas lights on a few houses.

For me and my family we look forward to the celebration of our Lord’s birth. Christmas Caroles are now being displayed on our stereo equiptment. I love the music and the message it presents .

May one and all at Amy’s Place turn toward the birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

He lives within my heart and I will forever proclaim that He is indeed my Lord and Savior.

A bit early, but Bless Our Lord’s Birth during the weeks that lead up to CHRISTMAS DAY.

Praise our Great Savior!!!

Grocery day, wore me out..the motorized chairs are usually broke, gone or the store does not have any and with this Meniere’s and Fibromyalgia I find it harder to walk for that lenght of time....hubby was great, he went to the Salvation Army and bought me a Go Chair, all I needed to add was the power supply, it was in near mint condition, now I can shop where there are not motorized carts. Amazon took care of that for a 1/4th the price of the manufacturer.

Bookmobile

November 28, 2012

Before the electronic gadgets and distractions of today, the long summer days of my boyhood were brightened each week when the bookmobile arrived. It was a bus lined with book-filled shelves that were transported from the regional library to neighborhoods so that those without transportation could access them. Because of the bookmobile, I spent many a happy summer day reading books that would otherwise have been inaccessible. To this day, I am thankful for the love of books that the bookmobile fostered in me.

Some Bible scholars say that the apostle Paul had a love of books and studied them till the end of his life. He wrote in his final letter, “Bring the cloak that I left with Carpus at Troas when you come—and the books, especially the parchments” (2 Tim. 4:13). The books he was asking for could very well have been the Old Testament and/or some of his own writings.

I’m sure that Paul’s pursuit of knowledge was more than intellectual curiosity or entertainment. It was the pursuit of Christ that drove Paul. His goal: “That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death” (Phil 3:10). I pray that this same pursuit will drive us today.

Heavenly Father, give me a passionate desire
to know You and Your Son. Please stir my heart
for this, the greatest of all pursuits, so that
I might grow ever closer to You. Amen.
To know Christ is the greatest of all knowledge.

Read: Philippians 3:7-14

That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death. —Philippians 3:10

GROWING UP IN OKLAHOMA, AND MOVING OFTEN, FOLLOWING DEVELPMENT OF THE OIL FIELDS, MEANT A COUPLE OF THINGS TO ME IN CHILDHOOD, BARELY TIME IN A CITY TO MAKE FRIENDS IN SCHOOL, SO I knew no one besides Mom and Dad in the city we moved into and thus was one of the new kids in the school and neighborhood.

Dad worked his working life drilling for oil. He always had a job. Was exempt from the 2 World War due to the essential job he performed, and amazingly He worked into his mid 70’s. Was never hurt on the job or had one of his crew hurt other that scraps and mashed fingers to those not being head's up constantly. It was hard work, digging water lines, rigging up the new location with the rig. No covering expenses involved for going to the next site. No days off. Everyone carrying his own lunch, eating lunch when there was a break in activity, Rigs are going 24 hours a day until completed and then moving to the next site, no vacations, except getting someone to work in your place for a couple of days, no retirement. Exposed to harsh weather conditions year round all seasons. No unions in the South, still none that I know, in the drilling business. Very different world from today.

I started this posting with the importance of books to me. A man named Carnagie built library's and stocked them with books. Wonderful gift to peoples of the United States. An only child, I loved reading. Today there are so many electronic means of entertainment for the youth of America. Few get into books. MO

A real loss. Keeps them somewhat ignorant of important things.

His love has no limit, His grace has no measure,
His power has no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,

The apostle Paul expressed his desire for the believers: “May the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you” (1 Thess. 3:12).
How much should we love God and others? More and more!

Our limited ability to love does not change God’s limitless power to love through us.

I just LOVE that picture!

I had a really rough night...Lynn-DAH was very sick and was COUGHING all night like she had the flu. The vet wasn’t in today, so I made an appointment for tomorrow morning.

A FRiend and I prayed together on the phone and she seems a lot better now, but will go to the vet tomorrow just to make sure.

She is snoring under the desk right now. I hope she gets a good night’s sleep.

Aww....I hope your girl feels better by morning! It is painful to hear or see our beloved companions not feeling well and we feel so helpless to do what is needed!

Prayer can’t have hurt, though! :)
