'Naked caveman' striking fear into hikers who stumble across him on the mountain he has called home for three years while supporting himself by donating blood
A mountain community in Texas claims it is being terrorised by a 'naked caveman' who lives in the hills and harasses hikers and passers-by.
The man has apparently occupied a remote cave above El Paso for three years, and supports himself by donating blood plasma and recycling cans.
But local residents say they have seen him prowling around their houses, and are intimidated by his aggressive behaviour.
The inhabitants of an apartment complex at the foot of McKelligon Canyon are accustomed to seeing the man bathing in their laundry room and working out on the children's jungle gym.
While some tolerate his eccentric appearances, others are less welcoming - one resident told KVIA, 'I don't feel safe,' while there are allegations he has stolen clothes from the complex.
And when a group of hikers took a day-trip up the canyon, they accidentally stumbled across the mysterious man's dwelling, a tumbledown shelter filled with old furniture.
As they investigated, a naked man jumped out and chased them down the mountain.

Does he get dressed for his visits to the blood bank? Just asking.
It’s a safe bet that he’s an Obama voter.

I understand the ‘selling’ blood part.
What and HOW do you support yourself by scaring hikers? So that said hikers drop their gear/food?
It’s only an issue because some hikers were “offended”. The dude lives in a cave and fends for himself! Quit staring at his junk and move along, he won’t bite (is that a human ribcage roasting over that campfire?). The locals have been helping him, maybe he keeps the rat population down.
If he was considered a varmint he would have been shot a long time ago.
Sounds like some people on this very forum!
Is that not Kinky Friedman?
“If he was considered a varmint...”
Nah, they would declare him an endangered animal and set aside a large track of land as his natural habitat.
Especially, if there is any possiblity of anyone profiting from logging or gas/oil exploration.
He’s mortgage free and no HA fees and rules to contend with.
