Revolution on again tonight?
I read on tvbythenumbers.com that it hasn't quite reached the non-renewal level, but it is losting viewership.
I never started watching it, because I thought the premise was silly.

Same here!
It seems to me that civilization would then collapse back to the 1900s for a brief period of time. It wouldn't collapse back to a pre-gunpowder era. What chemistry only stopped working for a certain set of reactions?
I can suspend believe for obvious fantasy stuff, but not this!

Agreed. If someone had the ability to restore power, it would become the highest priority to do so in order to minimize the loss of life.
And loss of electric power doesn’t mean total shut down. Diesel motors should still work. You end up with a diesel and compressed air economy like the Mennonites use. Dams are still going, and can be rigged up for DC current for local supplies even if AC current isn’t an option for a while - or converted immediately to water wheel type applications.

I read on tvbythenumbers.com that it hasn't quite reached the non-renewal level, but it is losting viewership. Hubby and I tried this show, we watched the first episode, and less than an third into the second, we gave up. Just found it dull and uninteresting.
