I can’t remember anything about toast in that story. On the moon, standard breakfast items would have been luxuries, and expensive.

I think they talked about plankton, or algae.

By the way, if we ever have to evacuate the Flying Castle under emergency conditions, the food supply and variety is going to be ... limited.

They grew wheat to sell to earth, so they had it there. And they raised cattle (and one assumes pigs, as well) so there was milk and bacon.

Isn’t that the story in which water was at a premium and anything imported from Earth cost a small fortune so the Lunies relied on moon ice?
