” Morning. Tis wonderful to be here with everyone and all of those here this A.M. and every past A.M., “
Of course it is!
: )
My furniture is speaking blasphemous utterings at me.
Should I be worried?
I would leave the house for a few hours.
Hiya 14 degress this morning.
Wow! 70s here.
I took Ash to the vet this morning for a “farewell” visit with Young Dr. Kaylor, and to talk about more pain medicine. He gave us another kind of pills, and said he appreciated my bringing her to see him.
Ash fell this morning on the kitchen floor, and I had to get DP out of bed to pick her up. Fortunately, she didn’t do any real harm, and she been up a couple of times since then.
Poor Ash. I bet she was embarrassed by her fall. *hug to Ash*
She had been outside, and she slipped because her feet were wet. It has happened before on the hardwood floors, but now she doesn’t have enough strength in her hind legs to get herself back upright.
DP’s alarm was going off when I went to get him, but he probably would have turned it off and gone back to sleep if we hadn’t needed to pick Ash up.
The sun is out a little; I’ll have someone take her outside for lying on the grass later. Time to get organized for the Hobbit Club!
I hope the new meds help her somewhat. I forgot how old she was, though I’m sure you mentioned it earlier this week.
Excellent deduction!!
Yay me!!!!
LOL! Sometimes, my mind actually works! (Not often, and not well, but...)
I think you hit on all cylinders all the time. :)
Thanks, but there are some days...but I digress. I’ve started a blog, and I’m hoping it will help people become familiar with me and what I put up with. The URL is on my home page.
I don’t post every day, but I will post as often as I feel up to it. Some days, just getting out of bed is a victory!
*HUG*
Farewell visit?
Does that mean what it sounds like it means?
Ash is 11, and no, this was not the “Final Exit,” but because the vets work different days, she might not see Dr. Kaylor again. She might have another month.
She’s an elegant old lady for sure. My eyes are already watering up.
Best dog ever, *sniffle*. I gave her some pork fat just a few minutes ago. They said she’d gained a little weight since her visit about a month ago, so at least she’s eating enough.
At least you have made a difference in her life. I will miss her when I visit again.
Speaking of visits, this is the year I’m supposed to visit my son for James’ birthday, and I was afraid he (son) really didn’t want me there. So I called him a few nights ago, and asked him if it was OK. He said sure, as long as I didn’t stay longer than three days. *gr-r-r-r-r*
Anyway, today, I checked the flight and price availability and I think if I am careful I can buy the tickets next payday. I hope. I sure don’t want to disappoint my grandson. As it happens, his birthday is on Sunday, this year, so that will be good. I told my son if I could leave the last Wednesday in Nov, I could fly home on Monday. “Fish and company should be thrown out after three days.”
You can stay here longer than 3 days! I hope it works out for the trip to AR for your grandson. If you lived in Oklahoma, you’d practically be there already.
I’m so tired, and it’s only Thursday! Tonight, tomorrow, and Saturday we have multiple children’s activities in different places at the same time. Thank God I can bilocate!
We worked on building a model Smaug at the Hobbit Club today. At the moment, it looks kind of like a headless anole that’s dropped its tail, but we’ll do the head, tail, and wings next week.
We listened to a “dramatized” recording of the chapter, and Mrs. Flemings and I didn’t think Smaug was done right. Not smooth and plausible ... far too slurpy, as if Santana were talking with a mouthful of crickets. I thought maybe the voice of Ricardo Montalban would work, but we decided that was too smooth. I think Barack Obama would be a good Smaug: greedy, self-centered, egotistical and destructive ... persuasive to the confused, envious, and not-very-bright ... acquisitive, but with no taste.
Thank you very much for the beautiful Kitapede!
