Stunning. Just look at that acting. Wow.
< /snickering >

Wahlberg is actually one of the more believable modern-day leading men, by no small dint of the fact that he usually chooses roles where he plays a street-savvy, knuckle-dragging tough-guy punk.

I know it'll sound like sour grapes, but I have a hard time taking the "Hollywood Crowd" seriously. C'mon, who wants to spend their lives pretending to be someone else? You gotta have serious, deep-seated, unresolved self-dislike issues to be that driven to not be yourself.

That their talent and, eventually, value are measured by how "well" they express the actions, attitudes and feelings of someone they're not——in most cases, someone completely fictitious, who does not even exist——borders on pitiable.

The self-absorbed ninnies. LMAO

Welcome to the Undead Thread.
Join us as we add to the hangover misery of Solomon8522!
December we will be moving to a new thread.
Solomon here posted a drunken rant [thankfully edited for our sensibilities by the mods before it even was posted.] and hasn’t been back since.
Probably they were so blitzed they don’t recall ever being here.

"I know true horror, I can bring it forth at will!"

OK, but what did "Wil" do to deserve such?

Will, oh he insulted the cat.
And when the cat finally catches him, well.
Nobody wants to be him when that happens.

You are truly powerful, Oh Darks the Horriblest. Right up there (or Down There) with Basement Cat. I am stuned by your Mighty Beeber of Hugh and Series Horrors.

Which reminds me: Do you remember what I packed all my Christmas socks in? I can’t find them. How can I have Christmas without a new red, white and green pair of socks all during Advent? (My Advent Socks!)

Wouldn't that be the tub over there under all of that?
The tub wanted is always buried deepest?

I put THAT tub out on the porch this morning. It had boots and shoes in it. *sigh*

I will look again a little later. I’m tired of unpacking.

Harry soon regretted all of those misspent afternoons of his youth, hanging out with the neighborhood meerkats.

And that was *before* the Vogon poetry reading.

You're showing mercy. IIRC, Vogon poetry is only the third worst in the universe.

I got Christmas Music’d out years ago.
The stores here began playing Christmas Music before halloween two years in a row.
There’s only so often you can hear “White Christmas”, “Jingle bells” and other Christmas Tunes before wanting to go postal with a chainsaw and a tire iron.
And they had it EVERYWHERE.
Flipped from one local radio station to another, all of it was ‘Jingle Bell Rock’.
Once upon a time, you didn’t hear Christmas Music until after December 1st.

A carousel can be done without, but a tip-over switch cannot. I will open a statement from my credit union and see what’s in the account!

Back from my prayer group. The hostess had a kitten, but we didn’t get to be friendly with it because it made Cary sneeze. Whenever we stopped talking, we could hear it in the laundry room complaining.

I plan to go to Aldi later, for the first time in this state; I went once in Oklahoma. A flyer that came with the occasionally-delivered free county paper said they have $2.00/lb. turkey breasts and $1.49/lb. ham, and I told Dona Nilda that I would bring hot dogs and buns to the church for the Missionaries of the Poor. And we’re out of sandwich bread again.

My plan of not going to the grocery store every day is turning into a Fail. Maybe it’ll work next week, if I buy ten loaves of bread on Saturday. Go to Sam’s, perhaps.

What if Hell doesn't exist?

I'm still erring on the side of caution (or maybe not erring or trying not to err orrr....)

Real friends will sit in the cell beside you and say, “Wow, that was a blast!” Furthermore, if they’re anti-Fairy (in the fairy-tale sense) and you are pro-Fairy, they don’t deserve all that much consideration.
