Continue clearing 3 acres of weeds, clean the pond, plan the garden lay out, find a spot for the bees. Other than that, not much :) Oh, at some point, a good cigar and an adult beverage.

Some housecleaning, a trip to HyVee, watch the Huskers, see the delightful 18-month-old granddaughter. Some trimming in the yard, maybe mow, change the furnace filter. Positives: the weather has been amazingly gorgeous the past week or two. The mower works. We have enough money for groceries, dog drool can be washed off windows fairly easily. The baby is starting to pretend, uses 2-3 words together at a time, has manners. Along that line. Being thankful for a wonderful family, good health, all the gifts in everyday life.

community parades, do a static, and attend a BBQ.
Sometimes you just have to forget everything else.

My wife and I are hosting a party for my kids, their friends and those childrens’ parents prior to the high-school homecoming dance on Saturday.

Going to our cottage in Northern Michigan with my husband and daughter, taking the boat for one last cruise around the lake before we pull it out for winter and checking out the beginning of fall colors. Watching the sunset over Lake Michigan bundled up in sweatshirts...No internet, no television, no news. Last smores at the campfire for the year. One of my favorite weekends at the cottage bar none...

Well, detailing my Prius while listening to CDs of Pete Seeger and Lady Gaga; watching tapes of the Tony awards dating back to the 1990s; listening to old Obama speeches; donating to all the organizations that George Soros gives money to; going to a Michael Moore film festival; barbecuing vegetables; carefully going over all my garbage and trash to make sure the recycling is done correctly and finally, volunteering for Planned Parenthood.

Heading to Gloucester County’s (VA) Guinea Jubilee Saturday, then off to the lake cottage on Sunday to do some brush cutting.

Cleaning the (wood) workshop to get it ready for the season. Clean & polish the cast tables on the table saw, band saw, jointer and drill. And ALLOT of dusting!

I am going to a friend’s house for an October fest. Lots of German food, German beer, and no German wines under 13.5% in alcohol content.
I plan to do my part by telling as many Obama jokes and anecdotes as possible. Just enough to be entertaining and maybe informative to any closet Obama supporters.
