Yes, good judgment which is more aptly called discernment and keeps me from believing the apostasy of affirmative action salvation which you and BB have swallowed hook, line, and sinker. Too bad...you guys are missing the very power of what Jesus did for all mankind....few are those that are willing though. Easier to believe you can keep on sinning! And I have judged no one...I don’t look down on you guys nor do I have any idea if you will wake up or not. But I do clearly see you guys have a false type of salvation and have way overly learned truth. Truth is much simpler and imparted by God in a wonderful way that you are leaving behind.

We all strive for discernment, but how is it possible to discern what is good from bad if there is no yardstick or measuring rod with which to know? Can you base it on your inward feelings? The Scriptures say we are all sinners and that we are at enmity with God unless we have been born again. It also says that the heart is "desperately wicked who can know it", so relying upon our feelings is not a good way to discern good from bad. We need something that is both objective rather than subjective, and something that is not burdened by the same lack of absolute knowledge. The ONLY one I can think of is God, how about you? And if it is God alone who can be the guide to help us discern good from evil, then, what better way than through HIS divinely-inspired words? If we know that God gave us His inspired words - which are instilled with power the world can never copy - then they are preserved for us for a purpose. Good judgment based upon Godly guidelines allows us to have correct discernment. What you term "affirmative action salvation" is a curious thing to say and whatever it is in your mind you, somehow, have become convinced that SR and I have swallowed the "apostasy" of it and are missing the power of what Jesus did for all mankind. Yet, you have not once suggested that this "power" is anything other than the false and contrived, as well as UN-Biblical, doctrine that Jesus is not God, that he "learned" to become sinless and that he is only here as an example for us to also live sinlessly so that we can one day make it to heaven where we will have all eternity to perfect it.

What we have been doing the past week is to demonstrate from the word of God what He actually has to say about the matter. All you have brought to the table is snippets of verses, pulled out of their full context and made to appear to contradict other verses - something God will never do. You have attempted to gather these snippets together like a jigsaw puzzle and arranged them to try to tell the tale of the Roy Masters gospel that you have become convinced is THE truth, and nothing but the truth, which is curious in light of Masters' assertion that it is not the written word which matters, but the "feeling" one gets by "being still" and letting the light of God flow to them. But, without that discernment we get from Holy Scripture, you really have no way to know if that "light" is coming from God or from the "angel of light" (satan), whose ministers are ministers of righteousness, but who are truly demons of satan. Read Ephesians 6:10-17 about the "armor of God" Christians are to put on when they go out to battle against the devil's schemes:

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

When you say we have a "false type of salvation" and "way overly learned truth", remember this passage of Scripture. The simple and wonderful way of salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ, who has saved us by his precious blood by which all our sins are washed away. We have NOT left this behind but cling to it as the dearest treasure, the pearl of great price. The life we lead until we go to be with Him in heaven, is a battle that we all must fight. Sitting back and pretending it is not going on is foolish and leave us all the more vulnerable to the wiles of the devil, who wars against our souls. Those fiery darts can ONLY be stopped by the shield of faith and the only offensive weapon in our arsenal is the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Please do not underestimate the power it contains.
