BENGHAZI, Libya, Sept 12 (Reuters) - An American staff member of the U.S. consulate in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi has died following fierce clashes at the compound, Libyan security sources said on Wednesday.
“One American staff member has died and a number have been injured in the clashes,” Abdel-Monem Al-Hurr, spokesman for Libya’s Supreme Security Committee, said, adding that he did not know the exact number of injured and could not say what the cause of death was.
Armed gunmen attacked the compound on Tuesday evening, clashing with Libyan security forces before the latter withdrew as they came under heavy fire. The armed group is said to have been protesting a film being produced in the United States.***

The dead staffer was, in all likelihood, a Marine guard. When the Libyans bugged out, the Marines would assume complete responsibility for defending the compound.
If we had an actual president in the White House (instead of a pandering apologist), the Marine FAST team would be en route to the embassy, with or without the Libyans’ permission.
Anyone know the name of the film
I want to put it on my must see list.
Film critics stormed the embassy?
Really, Reuters? What film would that be? And is it just pure coincidence that this little "protest" (understatement of the year) takes place on the anniversary of 9/11?
I suspect Reuters is carrying water for the Obama-ites, who don't want Americans to see these attacks on American embassies as another Islamicist victory dance "celebrating" the atrocities they committed against America on 9/11/01.
