I think he could be okay but his new character doesn’t fit his face/style or something
It takes a while to adjust to each change of the Doctor Who actor and to the companion(s), too.
At first, I didn’t think Smith would be as good as Tenant, but I have gotten used to him now.

This episode had some good lines:
DINOSAURS! ON A SPACE SHIP
DOC TOR, DOC TOR WHO? DOCTOR WHO? DOCTOR WHO?
I've gotten used to him ... but he isn't as good as Tennant. Or Eccleston. Or David Morrissey, for that matter.
Likewise, I don't like the version of River Song we get to see now. She's somewhat removed from the version in the library (even though she's older in the library).
Agreed. He even says in the last episode, “I’m married.” Show us a married doctor, living and traveling with River Song!
What is that from? The movie “Them”?
Here is a post-apocalyptic 2012 story, based on Obama’s re-election.

Much better episode of Dr Who this week I thought.
A couple of notes about Dr. Who, from my perspective...
I was a huge fan many years ago... The John Pertwee, Tom Baker, Peter Davison (who I got to meet at a Dr Who/Hitchiker’s Guide convention in St. Louis), but due to personal issues, I never really got a chance to watch any of the Colin Baker episodes, and sort of lost touch with the world of Dr Who.
However, I happened to catch a couple of episodes last season, and decided it was worth watching, though I was REALLY lost, so I’ve decided to start watching Dr Who again, starting with the “relaunch.” Luckily, I buy enough from Amazon to be able to justify the $80 annual fee for Amazon Prime, so imagine my surprise when I discovered that I get all the Dr Who episodes free for streaming! Now I just have to find the time to watch them, but I did see the first couple of episodes with David Eccleston (sp?)
One last thing... At the previously mentioned convention, they had a full size exterior Tardis prop, and I have to admit, while I knew there was no such thing, I still found myself disappointed when I walked through the door, and there was only a black curtain to hide the open back :-( . I was such a dork.

Anyway, I rather liked the “Dalek Asylum” episode, and REALLY liked the Oswin character. I just learned that the character is actually slated to become his next companion, after he “dumps” “the Ponds.” Frankly, I’m really looking forward to it, though I’ve gotten quite attached to “The Ponds.” But Jenna-Louise Coleman’s character was really awesome, and I found myself broken hearted when it was revealed she was a Dalek, and the Dr was going to leave her. This would explain why he’d go back and make her a companion, changing her time-line, keeping her from joining the crew of the Alaska.
I’m looking forward to getting back up to speed on the “new” Doctors!
Mark
But if she joins the Doctor, she isn’t there to make the Daleks forget him.
Very good. Next week’s will be harder
You’re thinking of time as a linear stream Human, whereas, as we all know, it is actually a big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-timey stuff. :)
