I don’t get the connection between a leak in the Pur filter and a clog or standing water. Don’t you turn the water on and off with the little knobby thing which is distant from the faucet and the filter? Has your Pur filter morphed into AI which turns itself on and off? Did someone DarkFAX you a manifestation which superficially resembles a Pur filter. I’ve been listening to a Dean Koontz book involving alien invasion, but your Pur filter is creeping me out a lot more than the book.

The standing water is no longer in my sink, and I got blamed for the clog because of a “leak” in the Pur filter on the faucet. I guess the guy thought I ran water in the sink 24/7 but the most I run it is to fill ice cube trays.

That idjit doesn't know from Shineola. It's just a friggin' filter. Did he at least fix the problem? Is he worth anything at all?

I’ve gotta drive to Tokyo here in about 1/2 an hour. Talk about scary! I’d almost rather drive IE for a day without any AV protection. ;)

I guess the dork figured I was over 62, a female and living alone, so that automatically makes me stupid. He is so far into the ozone layer as to be an air head. I should have blown in his ear and given him a refill.

The only time the leak (spray) was evident is if the water was on full force, and I seldom turn it on that high.

Since both sinks were affected, I’m sure it was just years of built up gunk that was dislodged when I used the baking soda, vinegar and plunger on it. *sheesh*

He fixed it, but as I said to SG, I think it was just years of gunk. I doubt if any tenant before me ever tried to keep the drains free, so I get the blame for the repair. HAH! The plumbing is almost 50 years old.

I WILL talk to the maintenance manager when I see him again. He knows me, and respects me for the knowledge I have garnered, of course, from being a military wife and having to learn how to DIY.

Disgusting.

I know what you mean, although I think I worry more now that the kids have moved out. When they lived with us, I knew what they were doing, and when to expect them. Now I hear traffic reports, and have no idea what their schedules are, or where they might be. Add paranoia, and stir, lol.
