A man from Chongqing in Southern China nearly suffocated to death after a romantic gesture to his girlfriend went wrong.
Mr Hu Seng had asked his friend to tape him into a box so he could ship himself via a courier service to his girlfriend, Li Wang.
However, the romantic gesture turned into a life-threatening event for Mr Hu when the courier company mixed up the address with another delivery.
The 30-minute wait turned into a three-hour ordeal for Mr Hu.
The material of the box was reportedly too thick for him to make any breathing holes while inside and he did not want to spoil the surprise by calling for attention.
When the box arrived at Li Wang's place, his friend was poised to record the event.
However, they found Mr Hu unconscious and looking pale upon opening the package.
Subsequently, paramedics were called over to her apartment to revive him.
He admitted, "I didn't realise it would take so long."
The courier company said they would not have accepted this delivery if they had known there was a person inside.
The spokesperson said that even for animals, a special container would be used so they can breathe properly.
Undying thread. Ya mean the ideer of shipping oneself to your girlfriend is still being considered? UPS or FedEx?
I used to play classic guitar back in the day, but at this point I hope to practice keyboard this fall/winter so that I can do gospel music. I have earphones so that no one else is subjected to my keyboarding, but we don’t have any way to protect everyone in the vicinity if I sing. Maybe I should come over to your garage and practice with the electric guitarist. Their band won’t be too happy about it, but I’ll learn more than “Bingle Jells” if I practice a lot.
Good to see you! How are you doing nowadays?
Thanks for asking, good to see you. I am unchanged, pretty much, but pulling through somehow.
Thanks. I can’t recall when was the last time I woke up feeling rested and GOOD! So I take my “goods” when I find them.
My blog is giving folks a first-hand look at the onset of CFIDS and how I dealt with it then, how I’m dealing with it now, and what the future dealing may be. Difficult to write by the nature of the disease, painful because time has given me a perspective I seldom had in the early days.
I would take that in a heartbeat! LOL!
I would advise caution. It looks like something from Cyrano Jones.
Once you accept a cat, the future gets very murky, not to mention shredded and covered in fur.
I throw caution to the winds!
Kittehs rule!
They certainly do in my house!
Somehow, I slept crooked last night and it seems I pinched a nerve in my neck so that I have been having vertigo this morning. I’m all out of ibuprofin, and can’t take aspirin, so I’ve been using moist heat. It doesn’t seem to be doing much good.
So today, I’m a real dizzy dame! LOL!
Ouch!
I usually sleep crooked because of a baby and one or more catz.
58 and occasional rain. The pets are all gloomy. I have to go to the Post Orifice and to leave a check at someone’s house. It would be much nicer to be sleeping with Kathleen and Jake ...
Rainy days are good for curling up with good books, warm bodies and a hot drink.
Busdaddy wants to come over today, but with as dizzy as I am, I think it’s not a good idea that I be in the kitchen around hot and pointy things.
Of course, he could bring me some ibuprofin, but I would still have to cook.
He could bring you some ibuprofen AND a takeout supper!
Try chocolate.
He could, couldn’t he? Not gonna happen. The best I can get out of him is to do the dishes and once in a while the laundry. I’m thankful for small things.
:o]
