I read your blog so far.
When I was growing up, I was taught that I should dress as if I were going to meet Jesus Christ. That eliminated pants of any kind, and meant that when I got dressed up, I should be neat and clean and wear a little make-up and conduct myself as a lady.
It was quite a change from the boots and jeans we always wore. It’s still a habit!
It gets worse. And it wears me out a little more each time I make an entry, as I’m getting into to worst of the symptoms/life. But I feel it has to be told. CFIDS is cruel to everyone it touches. There is no way to dress it up.
Why look slovenly, I figure, when you could look nice?
I’ll pray for your successful re-passage through your life as you type!
Thanks! Bear in mind, this is just the last 23 years. I’m sure my earlier life had a bearing on it, but not as much as after my 40th birthday.
BUT! I’m done for today, so it’s all good. I will work on another project, then lie down with a good book. :o])

Dang, all that 80s hair on those boys! Marty Raybon, the lead singer of Shenandoah, is mostly recording bluegrass and gospel these days. I don’t know how good an instrumentalist he is ... my husband was just saying, “That’s some basic guitar!” ... but he’s got an excellent voice and a lot of presence.
One of my favorite things about you is that you appreciate so many of the really important blessings—a good night’s sleep, absence of discomfort—a lot of people don’t appreciate how good it is to feel good until they don’t.
Are you originally from the South?
I pray for your speedy recovery. I guess you didn’t enforce the “inhale on the inside exhale on the outside” policy. The sneaky little causative organisms were probably floating around on particles in the air giggling to each other about how they pulled one off on the hoomins....
I could listen to Allison Krause’s voice all day!
I love Allison Krause. Iirc, Notoillegals lives somewhere around me, in the hinterlands of Charlotte, NC. Maybe off north or west ... I’m in the Dullard Lands to the east.
Allison Krause and Marty Raybon recorded “Somewhere in the Vicinity of the Heart.”
That is very lovely! Thank you for posting.
