I often wonder what God must be thinking as He watches today's events. He must not be happy.
In fact, I think his response will not be too different from Clint Eastwood's.
Clint Eastwood in his movies.
I wonder what movie is God's favorite Eastwood movie?
I think "Gran Torino" would be Christ's favorite.
God absolutely LOVES “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly”, but only because it has Tuco (Eli Wallach) in it.
“Bloooonddddieeeeee!!!!!!”
Heartbreak Ridge
For us, Christ saw our sin problem, then began, from Genesis on, to adapt, improvise and OVERCOME.
Then we, in turn, OVERCOME the beast, the dragon, the antichrist, that old serpent the devil, by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of His Gospel testimony. And we get the victory.
We may or may not smoke a big stogie, taken off the body of a dead Cuban, afterward.
I think God views human politics the way we might view Super Mario Brothers (video game).
I think God is more concerned and focussed on the development of each individual soul amidst the chaos we have created for ourselves via free choice in this life.
He knows, he cares and he may offer guidance individually. But I believe it is all static and clutter that contributes to the environment in which we exist while we get to better know, love and worship him.
I don’t think he spends much time worrying about Hollywood other than it has the word ‘Holy’ in it, sort of.
If you think that God is concerned with, or watches, movies, your god is just a god. You can put that kind of a god on a shelf or in the stove for heat.
No way. Not by a LONG shot.
Lonesome Dove was hands down THE best Western ever made.

Any movie where Eastwood killed a bunch of them only to let God sort em’ out.
,,,,,, “ get ready grandma ,,,, hells coming to breakfast “ .
I agree with “Two Mules for Sister Sarah”
Only if He is a Catholic.
Only if He is a Catholic.
“Away All Boats”
I loved “Lonesome Dove” the book but hated the movie. That did not seem like Call and Gus to me. Actually I liked James Garner’s Call in “Streets of Laredo” better but I’ve known other “Lonesome Dove” fans who disagreed. Actually I couldn’t finish the movie version. Tommy Lee jones acted like a clown instead of the book’s stoic Call.
Well, that probably puts Where Eagles Dare at the top of the Almighty's list. That was an entire Alpine castle full of Nazis for Him to sort.
;-)
Every Which Way But Loose. God has a thing for Sondra Locke and thinks orangutans are cute. At least that’s what some homeless guy told me who claims to talk to God daily.
If you’re going that route, don’t forget “The Eiger Sanction” ... lower total body count, but higher percentage.
Kelly’s Heroes, you only have to look at the platypus to know God as a sense of humor.
