I can’t believe how many times I see that album obscurely used in movies. Watch Boondock Saints. When their sidekick returns to the apartment in a rush to grab his stuff and leave, he grabs some records and that one is on top.

Yeah, he looks like a real Herb Alpert fan. ;)

Oh, yes, it: "fogged the minds of many young men, as they gazed at the... personalized come-hitherhood to the woman staring back ..

I'm sure not just the minds of young men.

Small thing:

...The record spent 141 weeks on Billboard's Top 40 200 albums chart.

I hope she's living in Longview because she wants to.

Back in the day when even instrumental music would sell to the masses.

A spin off of Basso Nova.

I remember that too well.

I am much younger than that tho. : ) My older brother used to play the reel to reel of that album and 2001: A space odyssey at full volume. Well at least when my Mom wasn’t at home.

I have that one I'm about certain. I also have "Going Places" which was one of the first albums I every owned. I took band in grade school and played Trumpet. We'd see which one of us could play "Zorba The Greek" before missing a note LOL.

I'm trying to buy all the LP's and 45's I'd been collecting since the early 60's in CD format. It's been a challenge but second hand stores help.
