Falling Skies was more like last season’s soapy episodes.
What was the purpose of finding the harnessed girl and her brother? After all the build-up, she just left.

NBC’s Grimm is making an early return. New season begins Monday at 9:00 CT.
As for the soapy content, we unfortunately have to deal with that just to get it on TV and for it to have an audience. Could be worse -- if it were on Showtime, there would be more special effects paid for by the gay lobby (a la Torchwood).
Actually, bringing up Torchwood isn't off the point -- last season, they did a lot of introducing characters of little or no consequence and then getting rid of them (killing them off) by the end of the episode.
Human bugs - as in eavesdropping tools????
Does anyone have a headsup on Fringe?
I think it starts on Sept. 21 and will only be a half-season. I read somewhere that the episode last year where they were in the future and the Observers were running things, is where they are going with this season. I believe at the end of last season, September came to them and was saying, “They are coming, they are coming.” I think he meant the other Observers.
I realize that "Lost girl" is not SciFi, but it is on the SyFy channel and my wife and i quit watching when they started with the lezbo CR@P. They had some great story lines and just ruined it.
Question about Falling Skies/the girl who got picked up last week. What was with her face and hands? Was she turning into a Skitter?
My husband and I missed last season; we started watching at the beginning of the current one, so I’m not clear on some stuff.
Thank you.
The longer they wear the harness, the more they transform. Those skin changes are part of the transformation.
If they go the PC route of trying to appease everybody then it will bomb. So we will see how it goes. I really hope they highlight the WWII scenario of appeasement versus all out war for freedom here. It could be one of SciFi’s best shows of the century if they can stay out of PC territory and really showcase the sacrifice that human-beings are willing to take to be free.
One other thing I hope they let the Seychelle Gabriel find her faith again and show that God is really out there. In the first season I found her character really refreshing from all the other scifi shows that have been badly produced of late. Having a person of faith really shakes things up in a scifi world.
As far as WH-13 and Futrerama goes I tuned out long ago and am not interesting is watching every again.
So basicially you this as a metaphor for the US with us conservatives fighting the oppression of Obozo and his leftist toadies.
Oh, okay, then. Thanks for the response, CJ.
So next Sunday is the season finale for Falling Skies? What’s up with the short seasons?
Falling Skies season 2 started out pretty good, but has devolved into a soap opera the last 2 episodes.
Last evening — where did they get the writers? from Lost?
Again we get the alpha dogs fighting each other. Did that last season. [More like Lost — fight each other for top stop before even searching to find out what was on the other side of the island]
Professor wants to be dictator.
General turn over a new leaf and takes over.
That sounds like Hitler and Castro. Is that was the new world is going to be like?
Very disappointing scripts, the last 2 episodes.
Also, when they had the Red-eyed skidder and the Fishhead captured, they could have gotten a wealth of info about them, their physiology, their actions, their intentions, etc. Instead, both basically got sent out, back to their own. [Stupid moves on both accounts.] And Ben — he ‘saw’ what was in the Fishhead’s mind, so they let him leave without pumping him for info. [Another stupid move.]
Just my luck, it was the first time I have seen it. Looked like a glorified soap opera. I could taste the love, courage and humanity from all except the the strange dude from Lost
Didn’t watch it yet, will watch it tonight. But I was thinking the same thing last week, don’t really know if I would trust them. Mostly because there has to be something to keep the plot interesting.
Really excited that Grimm is going to be back!! Yay!
