Go be with your grandfather. You will never regret it. Sorry I said “your dad” previously.
It’s not a problem, I don’t mind.
As an update, the operation went well, but I personally don’t know how well my grandfather is doing (writing this near 1:30am; this is going to be a crappy week because my best friend lost his the same day I almost lost mine, this passed Saturday).
For Tuesday they’re going to try to put him in a wheelchair and give him solid food. I’m thinking he’s probably going to be there for a little while; he recognized my uncle, and moved when my sister said something a couple of days ago.
I can’t thank you all enough for the prayers. I’m guessing my grandmother said that it’s not his time yet (and they probably had an argument about that for 15 minutes: my mother said he was dead for about 17 minutes on Saturday). If he can move on his own and be lucid while having conversations, that’s more than we can ask for.
But again, thank you all for the prayers. I’m gonna check the rest of the posts on this thread, and a couple of other threads on here before I decide to pass out. This past weekend has been pretty rough, but eh, not like I’ve been able to sleep for the last 13 years.
