2 brands to stay the heck away from. Science Diet has had many recalls and complaints. Purina is just crap (I still carry the guilt of giving it to my lost kitty).

See my post #100.

He was introduced to Blue Buffalo and he loved it.

This is a link to see what petfoods have been recalled and it is up-to-date:

As an FYI...they recently listed a catfood called "Catswell" that has been recalled.

Glad to hear it! My two kittehs had NO problem whatsoever switching from Royal Canin to Blue Buffalo Indoor Health/Hairball formula. They took to it right away.

Ours don’t like Laxatone, but they do like grass gel: http://www.amazon.com/Grass-Gel-For-Cats-Hairball/dp/B000G6T2GG/

If you don’t mind, I’ll probably inquire after a week for an update.

About the cat or whether there's been an addition to the family? ;-)

The catz like the Innova Prime, and Shannon hasn’t thrown up since we started using it. More data needed, since she didn’t always spew, anyway, but results are positive so far.

And no new mini-humans have arrived since my last visit to this thread ;-).

Excellent news!!! Soon, if you haven’t already, you should notice a less messy liter box as well. =)

Does the Innova Prime come in no grain canned as well?

I delegate cat-box cleaning, unless it’s an emergency.

I noticed Innova Prime in cans at the Petsmart, but didn’t see which formulas they were. We’ve never fed our catz canned food.

I never did either, until I started reading about how they should have it since they usually don’t drink enough water.

I’ve actually increased their “mushy food” recently. I still use the Merrick brand because it comes in both grain free and w/ veggies (the carbs).

My little two-tonner Mimi lost almost 3 pounds from April - July. Spoke about it w/ the vet, he asked if she was still eating like she normally does and I said “yes, she always has her head in that bowl”.

It’s probably like an “Atkins Diet”, for cats. So I just started to include the non grain free mushy food. Don’t want them to get skinny, they need their fat! =)

Our cats drink plenty of water. They especially like the dog bowl! I read that they like a larger bowl because it leaves more room for their whiskers.

Mine do as well, which is why I was surprised when I read about it.

They do adore their “mushy food” time....as I state it in my kitty voice.

They act like Ethiopians getting their 2 oz of rice for the year!!

I got that response just a few minutes ago when I called, "Ash, I have pork fat!" to the greyhound.
