I don't mean to hijack this thread (please think of this as a bump), but it's pointless to start my own. What bullet has the larger diameter, 9mm Luger or 9mm Makarov? Or are they the same diameter, and it is just the cartridge that's different?

I'm just curious, and too lazy to look it up. (And I don't trust Russians).

Makarov is larger. Theory being their weapon will fire our ammo but not vice versa. Would only be tried in extreme circumstances where logic and reason have left the building.

9MM Makarov=9x18MM=.365 Diameter.
