Cruz vs. Dewhurst
Texas election | 7/2912

Posted on 07/29/2012 7:57:33 AM PDT by DallasBiff

Initially I was a Cruz supporter, but as the campaign rolled on and I found out that Cruz is a trial lawyer, I was skeptical, but I still supported Cruz, because he said the right things.

Still, though, saying the right things cannot hide your initial background, a trial lawyer=community activist.

As in all elections, the choice is the lesser of two evils, and a businessman is a lesser evil than a trial lawyer.

35 of the founders were lawyers, though not all practiced law as their main profession

Yeah I don' blame them for not practicing law. There were ambulance chasers back then.

And he was a one term president.

Also Ronald Reagan never practiced law.

No democrats are going to vote for Dewhurst, and you know that.

The choice, IMO, is between a person who built up wealth(Dewhurst) and a person who has sucked on the teet of wealth(Lawyer Cruz).

Can you show me in a real history book where John Adam's won a second term against Thomas Jefferson?

I think the point was that whether Adams had a second term or not is meaningless to the discussion of Dewhurst.

Just like whether Cruz is a lawyer is meaningless. We've had good politicians that were lawyers. Cruz will be one.

You are embarassing yourself.

Family all voting for CRUZ. I already early voted for him. Dewhurst has embarassed himself and Texas too often. The Dallas Morning News endorsed Dewhurst. That ought to be the kiss of death right there.

There have been good politicians and bad politicians that were lawyers.

What doesn't change is that Dewhurst is a sleazy, lying, GOP-e rat bastard that I intend to see run out of Texas politics.

Have a nice day.

While you support a person who has not created wealth(Ted Cruz), and demonize a man who has(David Dewhurst)

JR meet your equal, barack obama.

Then you’ve been listening to too many of Dewhurst’s lying ads.

“Mark Davis is NOT a Conservative.”

It’s worse than that. He’s boring.

what is the point of your continued postings? You are coming across as someone who was always in the tank for Dewhurst. You aren’t convincing anyone to vote for Dewhurst with these comments. Instead you are reinforcing the perception that Dewhurst and his followers are arrogant a-holes.

Again when the Dallas Morning News endorses Dewhurst over Cruz because he will be a moderate, you have a problem with Conservative Texans.

I am sure the Houston Comical will (if they haven't already) endorse Dewhurst. Then in Nov. they will endorse the democrat. That is ALWAYS the way they do it and I ALWAYS do just the opposite.
