The Shadow Looming Over the 2012 London Olympics is the threat of the Iranian Joker.

THAT is the last place on earth I would be at that time. It seems that so many people dropped the ball with security and there are too many holes. Also, it will be sickening for the rest of the world to have to witness the muslims openly celebrating whatever evil they have planned if/when it happens.

I hope this will be a wake up call for England and the entire world as to what happens when you let an infestation get out of hand.

I fear for the safety of the Israeli delegation, but I understand it is the 40th anniversary of the Munich massacre. I wish they would come to be part of the initial march into the Olympic Stadium, stop right there to force a minute of silence, followed by the athletes starting to sing Hatikvah, and then withdraw from the games because of the security problems.

That is also the last place I would want to be. Unlike the US, which is bordered by the Atlantic and Pacific, the UK is more or less open to infiltration by nefarious elements. Sure, some might say that bad guys can still come in easily through the Canadian and Mexican borders, but that is still far more difficult than the situation the UK faces. Moreover, there is a pervasive 'home grown' element already existing in the UK (see: the 7th July 2005 London bombings). Add to this the fact that the Olympics is one of the world's most watched TV events (I believe only the soccer World Cup has more eyeballs watching it), and it is taking place at one of the staunchest allies the US has. Add all those four factors together and what you have is the perfect target. A target that will not reveal itself again for decades (since it will be difficult for London to be chosen as the Olympic venue for decades after this due to the way many cities vie for the chance). You have 1) a location that is easy to infiltrate; 2) a location that already has a strong and radicalized home-grown element; 3) a location that is hosting one of the biggest events in the world; and 4) a location that is one of the buttresses of the West and one of the strongest allies of the US.

If someone gave me tickets I would sell them. I'm the type of chap who likes taking chances and I don't let fear stop me from doing stuff (e.g. the World Cup in South Africa was amazing), but I will make a very special exception for the London Olympics. I pray I am wrong, but I have a strong gut feel about that place during that time.
