A gardener who carved a giant bush into a hand displaying a rude gesture has been ordered to remove it after being accused of committing a public order offence.
Richard Jackson has displayed the offending topiary, which shows the middle-finger sign, in his garden for the last eight years.
The 53-year-old has now been told by the council to alter it after a neighbour complained, but he has refused to comply.

Ahh yes...the timeless Art of Topiary Expression....classic natural beauty.
And its taken a long time to get that bush to look like that;it did not occur just overnight.
Methinks there is a story of neighbor envy/malice at play here.

That’s disgusting.
He should be forced to cut it down.
We certainly would not stand for this in our neighborhood.

So much for the concept of ownership. He should shave it into a phallus and testes; let the busybodies fret about that for eight years. When will the spoiled children learn to avert their eyes if it bothers them? Maybe they could move on to tormenting their obese neighbors for offending their eyes.

Actually I dislike those squiggly ones more than the hand.
actually, I love it all, the gardener is an artist and should get a merit for his effort LOL
