Seriously.....July 20, 1969 is THE date for me. Neil Armstrong, closely followed by Buzz Aldrin. Man.....men.....Americans.....walking on the moon. Incredible accomplishment. I’ll never, ever forget it.

My father worked at Rocketdyne on the F-1 rocket engine for the Saturn V.
1.52 million pounds of thrust.
The F-1 is still the most powerful rocket engine in the world.
If my Daddy were still alive, he would be 95 tomorrow. He was SO excited that we landed men on the moon on his birthday!

Me, either! What a glorious day that was, and I’ll never forget it, or the subsequent moon landings after it.
Do you remember that, at that time, TV went off the air at 11/12 pm? Not during space missions, though. I’ll never forget camping out in front of the TV all night long watching the coverage.
