ROMNEY SLAMS OBAMA IN PITTSBURGH SPEECH TODAY
C-SPAN ^ | 7/17/2012 | MrChips

Posted on 07/17/2012 11:41:26 AM PDT by MrChips

Very well-received speech, full of people's life stories, attacks Obama's outsourcing and cronyism, and powerfully attacks Obama's remarks yesterday, really belittling him. Big applause when he said "Yes, roads, bridges, infrastructure are important . . . BUT WE PAID FOR THOSE THINGS!" Said Obama has insulted ever innovator and entrepreneur in America. Enthusiastic crowd with someone in the back yelling "Give 'em Hell, Mitt!" He did. Video here: http://www.c-span.org/Events/Mitt-Romney-Meets-with-Voters-in-Pennsylvania/10737432378/

Hope it was better than when Mitch McConnell “slams” somebody. Because that’s usually a “tersely worded letter” or a droning, squirrely speech on the senate floor.

####

And after the bitchy queers in the Obama AttackMedia work him over for his “hateful”, “racist” speech.

We’d like to see and hear the same Mitt during Presidential debates.

No more Mr. Niceguy!

Watch the speech. Mitt isn’t using a teleprompter. You can believe it is from the heart, or not, but what we do know is that Obama’s true communist-loving heart was on display yesterday, dripping with condescension.

Romney is no fool. He knows speak mildly and let Obama make the mistakes, then step in for the kill.

Told my wife last night that I’d like to see Romney declare an all out nuclear war on Obama. Lay out 3 1/2 years of lies, misstatements, half truths and failures.

The spew about who built the roads and bridges is wrong. “Early toll roads were constructed between some commercial centers and were owned by joint-stock companies that sold stock to raise construction capital, like Pennsylvania’s 1795 Lancaster Turnpike Company.” (source Wikipedia)

We have a stock certificate here for the Grand Army of the Republic Highway - - aka route 6, the longest highway in the USA. http://www.route6tour.com/maps.htm

Many canals were built by private enterprise. The D&H Canal included a privately owned bridge over the Delaware River. The bridges were large enough to carry the canal boats.

There is still a privately owned toll bridge over the Delaware River at Dingman’s Ferry, PA.

And while DARPA did create the first inklings of the internet, the government sure didn’t pay for the build out. All of us users paid as did telecom companies like Verizon or other cable providers.

There have been useful government programs such as the post office and the rural electrification program that did help private business. But all along businesses have paid taxes.

Romney knows he doesn’t have to do that: the people who will wind up voting for him have already done it.
Going forward, the real project for us is to let Romney know
he cannot take our vote for granted, in the same way the Dems
have always taken the black vote and other voting “blocs” for granted.
At least Romney is showing himself better than McCain was at this point-—but McCain had Sarah Palin to keep the base excited and hopeful. Just pray that Romney’s Veep choice is not someone (like PAWLENTY ,will keep us wondering what’s up
with the overall Romney message-—one thing is sure, someone like Pawlenty will pale next to Palin. Romney may be half-right in assuming that too strong a Veep will undermine his chances. Mc Cain and his team probably believe that to this day, even though Palin brought him hundreds of thousands of votes he didn’t deserve.
