Here it gets dark around 9:30pm but in the winter it starts getting ark at 3:30pm.
Days are starting to get shorter now though.
It does get dark here late. Day length in Seattle goes up to 16 hours on the solstice, sunrise at 5:11 and sunset at 9:11
But even this time of year, a few weeks after solstice, at 1 AM or so if you go out and it’s clear and moonless, you will STILL see a “trace” of morning light on the extreme northern horizon!
Of course the opposite is true during winter, when at winter solstice, the highest the sun gets in the sky - 19 degrees!
That’s like holding your fist at arms length!
