It’s Not cold...it’s cool. That’s why all those veggies look so good. And did you notice tubebenders peas? It’s the dampness and cool Pacific breeze that makes it so vibrantly green and fresh?

I know, I'm just giving Tubebender a bad time. We were in that area 2 weeks ago and the weather was Chamber of Commerce gorgeous. Tubebenders offerings are extremely tough to beat. I, on the other hand, after several plantings due to late frosts here on the high desert of Oregon, have another problem in our little kitchen garden. It's enclosed to keep the mule deer out but not sage rats. These are photos of 1 nights damage. As you can see I've got a "live" trap set; I've tried bait but it dumped the bait out of the 5" plastic lid and carried the lid off.

Again, this is just one night - lettuce, peas, bell pepper and beans got hammered:
