Here I am to say goodbye. After reading Jim's latest screeds, after translating from the original German, I have decided enough is enough. I am no longer going to associate with a site that refuses to admit Romney is the duly-elected nominee of the Republican Party. Palin is not going to descend on the convention and chop his head off.
The site has been descending into cultish behavior for years, and I still can't figure out where all the money goes each quarter.
Having been invited to leave earlier this week by Jim, I am taking up his offer. Goodbye.
And Jim, ZOT this!
There is a weird group of people around here who are still denying that. They really do believe that Sarah Palin is still a possibility.
It's a bit bizarro, if you ask me.
“Drama queens”.
Yes it is sad actually that some people get so emotionally wrapped up in this stuff. Free republic is an online web site. I wish the person well and hope he/she survives free republic withdrawal syndrome.
He is the presumptive nominee. Barring his death, incapacitation, or massive death visited upon the delegates, he will be the nominee. Fortunately, if he needs my vote here in Tennessee, he has already lost.
It took long enough to remove the punctuation.
Don’t let the door hit ya where the Good Lord split ya!
I am not happy with Romney either, but I am a practical realist when it comes to such choices. I’d prefer one of several others, but unless God provides a miracle at the convention we ain’t getting one. But even a Romney beats Obama six ways to Sunday.
No, because if they did that, they wouldn’t be able to go elsewhere and breathlessly say, “Look what I did at FR!”, and get high-fives and fist bumps and squeals of “You’re so cool!”
The first ballot is held. No one gains the requisite votes for nomination.
Our Lady of Wasilla gives a speech that wows the crowd. About half-way through, chants of run, sarah, run are heard under the applause.
About three-quarters of the way through, no applause is heard, because every pause is filled with RUN, SARAH, RUN!
She doesnt get to finish the speech the text is later published in her Presidential Memoirs because she cant get a word in with all the RUN, SARAH, RUN!
She steps away from the podium, and the MC gavels the place into some sort of order at least to the point when the PA can be heard over the crowd. This takes 38 minutes. Two major networks cut away...
..and miss the part where the MC places the name of Sarah Heath Palin into nomination; the chairman of the Alaska delegation seconds, and the nomination is made by acclamation.
In my dreams... but Ill be waiting.
Well that does it!!!! I’m out of here also.
....but I’ll be back after lunch.
Man, that is one candy assed opus...
It doesn’t have a beat.
You can’t dance to it.
I’ll give it a 1.5
“Here I am to say goodby.”
No!.....No!.....You must stay!.....What will we do without you?.....the pity party is in room 313.
Another self-centered ego looking for its 15 minutes of fame. If you want off, tell Jim privately and he’ll take care of it. These rants just make you people look selfish and dictatorial.
IBTZ!
Nostalgia ain't what it used to be.
maybe I am a FR addict... but here I am. burger in hand.. at the keyboard.
Any scenarios where delegates veer off at the convention from the candidate their constituents voted for, and the delegates pledged to support following the State Primaries will most likely involve Ron Paul, not Sarah Palin.
Is this the same guy who opused the other day under another name? He wanted us all to move over to TBL.com.
You have the intellectual depth of a dry well.
No matter how deep you dig you come up with nothing.
You are vacuous narcissist and an attention seeking whore.
The bray matter between your ears isn’t so much as organic than it is rocks.
Must be pretty noisy in there when you shake from per-hyperthermia.
IBTZ Tardo.
Oh, and you really should have written an excellent piece of humor and I would have contributed to FR for the 3rd time this week.
