Me too, I’ve always appreciated Quix. He’s prayed for me when I asked for help, and I’ve prayed for him.
He got too emotional, and too vituperative, but he was attacked something fierce on some of the Catholic threads.
That being said, I miss him and wish him the best.

Anytime I, as a Catholic, viewed a religious thread
where he commented on the tenets, practices, etc.
of Catholicism, I found him to be schizo: holy,
kind, prayerful .. then regarding Catholicism, he’d
flip and become snarky, mocking, superior and very
offensive, and I stopped having any interest at
all in his jaundiced views.

Regarding believers who have a true and sincere
faith and practice it earnestly, it’s understandable
that offense would be taken when someone not of the
faith chooses to be a critic (I’m excluding violent
cults and islamists), judge and nitpicking. Faith is
embedded, in the core and soul of the believer .. it’s
very personal and close to our hearts. And it is what
it is ..
Excluding prayer and news threads, of course, it
wouldn’t make me sad to see the religious debating
threads end tonight. The likelihood for hurt feelings,
resentments and offense is too great. Like they
say: politics and religion .. off limits in social
discourse with someone who’s not family or friend.
Well, this IS a political discussion forum, so that’s
inapplicable, but I think religion debates are too
fraught with the possibility for conflict and
stinging disagreements.
We have enough chaos and heartache going on now,
watching our dear nation being disassembled and
decimated before our eyes ...Lord, have mercy on
us all.
(JR, just my 2-1/2 cents for consideration..
it’s been on my mind for awhile.)
This site is the perfect place for Palin to step up for nomination. She would get an entire mechanism coiled and ready.
