Woman threw her alligator purse filled with cash at a Range Rover filled with teens.
A woman lost $2,000 in Palo Alto after she threw her purse at a passing car filled with teenagers who allegedly threw a milkshake in her face.
The woman was walking across University Avenue near Rudy's Pub Sunday when a white Range Rover full of teenagers drove by and allegedly threw a milkshake in her face.
Authorities said the woman tried to get revenge by throwing her alligator skin purse at the passing vehicle.
The story was first reported by Palo Alto Online.
A window was open on the Range Rover and the purse landed in the car. The purse had several of the woman's personal items and $2,000 in cash.
Police are looking for the stylish purse and the teenagers, who are facing charges ranging from battery to possession of stolen property or misappropriation of property.
Looks like she didn’t think that through very well.
This happened in Palo Alto? Peaceful lil Palo Alto. I’m stuned. must have been a knock off purse
Sounds like there is more to this story.
“Police are looking for the stylish purse and the teenagers, who are facing charges ranging from battery to possession of stolen property or misappropriation of property.”
Stolen property?
Not quite.
lol! gosh, wish I’d said that.
What’s the difference between a porcupine and a Range Rover?
What’s the difference between a porcupine and a Range Rover?
I always wondered why the Lone Ranger shot people’s guns out of their hands with bullets made of silver. Maybe there’s a certain mentality afoot that causes the launching of valuable projectiles to somehow make sense.
That is what I was thinking. While they did assault her. She GAVE them the purse.
It’s considerably harder to throw something into the window of a moving car than out of one, so, points for that.

I’m guessing that on a porcupine, the pricks are on the *outside*.
facing charges ranging from battery to possession of stolen property or misappropriation of property.
What? She threw it at them. I would say charge them for the milk shake throw but not the purse....It landed in their car due to her horrible aim.
Who carries $2,000 in their purse?
I’m surprised the story didn’t mention the victim’s color.
I mean hair color — not skin color.
:-)
This has to be a fake story. Most women I’ve seen throw something (anything) couldn’t hit the car with their purse from 10 feet away, let alone getting the purse through an open window of a moving vehicle.
Boy, she sure showed them....
Stolen property? She gave it to them.
“Who carries $2,000 in their purse?”
Only those people who intend on purchasing a $2,000 milkshakes!
