Of course, the real question is which specific policy of the Bush administration caused this.

Few people doubt there is intelligent alien life in the Milky Way galaxy, but where can we expect to find it?
Wow. The author of the piece starts out with a whopper. I would venture to say that BILLIONS of people doubt there is intelligent alien life in the Milky Way galaxy. This kind of sloppy discourse makes it impossible for me to take anything he says seriously.

So if the inner planets of the Milky Way are so rich in heavy metals, why were the Anunnaki wasting time trying to mine gold here on the earth?

"Sterilization occurs on a planet that is roughly [at a distance] between 6.5 to 98 light years, depending on the supernovae," says Gowanlock. "In our model, the sterilization distances are not equal, as some supernovae are more lethal than others."So, a planet closer than 6.5 light years to a supernova is somehow spared from sterilization? Why?

The circle of life...
I like the new theory that each collapsing star that creates a black hole, explodes in a big bang into a new universe someplace else...
So in effect, every black hole hides another universe...

Its like the author just discovered the Niven series of SF. This is one of the overlying themes in his known space series. Especially the supernova part.
