I don't know how these things work in Texas, but I work for the Division of Parole in New York State and I can tell you that the more letters you can bring before the Board that are against this guy's release, the better.

If the Parole Board knows that the public is aware of this situation and that the public is upset about his possible release, they do take notice of that and it does affect their decision on release. The Board panel have to sign their names on documents that allow the guy to walk out the door and none of them want to be questioned as to why they thought he deserved to be released when there is another victim.

Is this his first Parole hearing?

No, this is his 3rd. Late 2005, Early 2009, and now

I am hoping and praying the letters sent by FReepers will help sway the board in the right direction!
