My primary carry piece is a Sig P239 DAK SAS in 9mm. It's about the largest weapon I can carry concealed in warm weather. The mag holds 8 w/1 in the pipe.
You?
Colt Delta Elite mostly. It’s heavy, but I know what it does and it does more than any other handgun I own.

“According Abood the average gun fight lasts 3 seconds and it is at 7 feet. So no need for the 18 - 19 shooters.”
What if the confrontation does not conform to averages?
What if the bad guy has friends?
An acquaintance of mine was a Federal Agent and a pistol competitor and he got into an exchange of fire with a perp at contact distances and they both missed.
Hope is not an effective defense strategy.
Sure does. They help out a lot with search and rescue operations, as well as serving the usual purpose as a feeder system for kids interested in the Air Force, aviation, and sometimes, just maybe, a recruiting ground for the CIA.
Glock 19, The wife has a Glock 26. The price was right.
I have that exact same weapon in my desk at the office and I completely agree with Jim's assessment. I picked mine up about 5 years ago for less than $200 and the thing is accurate and never fails (probably have put a thousand rounds through it).
If someone is looking for a comfortable carry weapon on a budget, I would have no problems recommending looking into a Bersa.
WOW! Back in the late 50’s I was a member. Good to know that this organization is still around. Might check it out and see if I can support in some way.
Well ...um....errr......there was this unfortunate overturned canoe accident.....
Same here. On a river.
I live in Vegas and carry a G26 12+1 90% of the time.
My IWB Crossbreed SuperTuck is my preferred carry method.
Cool, I’m sure they’re glad to have experienced volunteers.
Experienced! My experience was over 50 years ago!! LOL! Will check it out nevertheless.
I’ll second that. Springfield SD 40 but with night sights and a powder river trigger kit.
Huh. My CAP Squadron Commander daughter is going for her Masters Degree at Boston University in Physical Anthropology this fall. She just completed a double major with a BS in Anthropology and BA in Spanish, Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa at SUNY Binghamton.
If the CIA wants to recruit, they can find her.
I have the Thunder Plus. 15+1.
Ah. A true pistolero. You know your holsters.
Forensics, doncha know.
Colt Combat Commander. In a pinch it will double as a bludgeoning instrument.
Truly, that's on my wish list. A hammerless 101. I love Rugers.
I hesitate at the moment to apply for CCW...don’t want my ID on ‘their’ list. But if I had anything and were to carry, it would be a Springfield XD-45 w/4” barrel...with 13 + 1. It is not big, nor is it heavy, and it is accurate :) ... easy to keep on target ... does not ‘lift’.
Now my question...should I or should I not get a concealed carry permit?
