Paul, I think, is all about KISS. Simmons is a different animal, so when he speaks I hear a businessman not the kooky blood spitter on stage in makeup.
Simmons of course got his fame via KISS, but today his persona is much more. I pray for his soul....he is very smart but lost.
A friend of mine who worked in PR has alluded to similar statements about Paul. Prayers for him are definitely warranted, IMO. Like you said, smart, but lost in some ways...
