Practice makes perfect.....post on....
I know you have no teenagers of any color working fast food down there. But no DIY carwashes?
i have to tell you the story about boarding the dogs up in Warren. They have the Howland Pet resort, we had boarded them there 4 years ago when my niece got married, so we were excited to have some place nice to leave them while we were at the grad party etc. We got them there on Sat for the 3pm check in. the woman behind the desk didn’t inspire a ton of confidence, she couldn’t find their paperwork etc {we had to have our vet fax their shot records etc] but she did finally come up with it, and i gave her the feeding instructions etc. And said, so we will pick them up tomorrow at noon? and she said oh definitely BY NOON, bc we lock the door and go to lunch and no one will be here etc. So fine, Sunday AM, we went to Mass and then had brunch with my bro and his fam and were swinging by to pick the dogs up before stopping back at my brother’s house to say goodbye etc. So we pull up to the pet hotel at 11:30 am, not a car in the lot, locked up tight. not a good sign. so we knock no answer, and the plate on the door says Sundays office open 4-7. SO xshub looks ready to jump down my throat about that until i pull up the website and it has NOTHING on there about sunday pickups 4-7, it makes no distinction about days of the week and has pick ups listed as by noon. He was with me in there on Saturday and heard the woman reiterate that we had to get them BY NOON. so we called the # and of course no one is answering, no one is IN THERE. we are starting to panic, thinking oh great we will be starting our 6 hour drive home at 4 pm!! he was googling other boarding kennels and i was calling them, to see if anyone knew the owners name etc. NO luck. I called my SIL to explain the problem and say we would leave a note on the door with my cellphone # and that xshub would drop xsjr and i at their house and he would come and sit outside and wait, hoping someone would eventually show to feed/let the dogs outside etc. By the time we got to their house [literally 2 min away] my SIL had called her friend Beth who boards her dog there. She is a CPA, she knew the owner’s hub who is also a CPA, so my SIL got the woman’s # and i was able to call her at home. I said, you really do need to have some sort of emergency # listed because had my SIL not happened to know someone who KNEW you, we would have been cooling our heels til 4pm, bc YOUR EMPLOYEE said we could get the dogs at noon, and if i was told that the place wouldn’t be open then we would have made other arrangements. it all worked out ok, but it was nerve-wracking as hell.
That’s annoying.
Posts 32,43....Women’s Libber you are. ; )
well now that you mention it we DO have white teenagers working at the Chickfilas!
i don’t know how far out you have to go to find those, but i live 2 miles outside the beltway, there are none that i know of.
Yes. You can buy just about anything. Then you have to sign a paper saying you are taking them out of state to explode them. Which in yinz cases would be true.
I’ve been to both churches you mentioned, but only one of them more than once. You can guess which.
So how do people of more modest means clean their cars? Or don’t they?
I saw on the news recently someone started a service in downtown Pittsburgh where they will come out to your car where it’s parked and wash it. It’s all “green” with minimal water use.
wash it at your own house, i guess? a quick drive thru carwash attached to the Exxon station can be $7-8, how much is it for do it yourself? it’s $11-13 or so to get out, have them do it inside and out.
Tysons Corner Mall and Pentagon City mall both have a part of the parking garage where someone will wash/detail your car while you shop.
A minimum of $1.75 in my neighborhood. That gets you 2:30. I usually use about $4-5 for a rinse-wash-rinse-wax-”spot free” rinse.
xshub enjoyed going to the one dahn in Holiday Park, Plum Boro, when we would visit my dad.
There is no rhyme nor reason
To how Obama does his job-
One day he jets around scolding-
The next, he’s a faineant snob
I suppose the latter is better-
When he’s golfing, just having fun
He isn’t spreading misinformation
And he’s not taxing anyone
If he’d keep Michelle Antoinette
Quieter, and off AF1 as well
It’d keep us from having to pay for
The illusion she is trying to sell
Haha - sorry, Dave is so much fun to bat around....
Oh wow, it then sends your body fat ratio to the White House! lol
A+++ great job!
I was thinking of pimply-faced geeks watching the scanner images when the hot girls go in for a scan.
If those posts make me a women’s libber, they make you a rapist. lol
wow, how did the owner react to what you all went through?
Love love love your poems!
