I am torn over this.
Freerepublic.com has the smartest people in the world.
If you were to make the best BLT in the world tonight, what would you use?
I am quite serious about this.
I don’t know...I was raised on it...It must have been the cheaper of the two :p
Ugh, not sure where the Duke's I bought in Texas was made, but I tossed the potato salad I made with it, plus what was left in the jar into the garbage.
neither, I’d use Horseradish mustard~!
OMG, now you are beating me!
Are you my sister by any chance???
Miracle whip lite
“This is one of those questions without resolution.
This is along the lines of asking - Ginger, or Mary Anne.
Some will say they always wanted Ginger, and others will reject Ginger, in spite of her alluring nature, and go right for Mary Anne.”
He was, after all, asking for opinions. :-)
Hey, nothing suprises me!
Well then!
We’re sisters!!!!
WHOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Naw, that’s not it - I think Miracle Whip is for kids because it’s tastes sweet (as I recall from my youth) - Mom put it in tuna salad and egg salad for school lunches. When I was an adult, grownups unrelated to me introduced me to Hellman’s and the rest is history!
I am not a snooty gourmet, but some on here that will claim it has to be real mayo, or nothing.
When I have a choice, I always buy faux mayo, as the real thing is always MUCH higher in cost...maybe double.
I just looked in my kitchen and I see real mayo, and faux mayo called Mayo Magic. I also see it as “salad dressing” but looks just like real mayo.
The real Mayo is empty so I can not do a taste test, but I rarely had a problem with most any mayo substitute.
Are u surprised how many responses u are getting?
hahahaha! Welcome to the family, sis!
Yes.
Miracle Whip.
Obviously our Moms hated us. Mine bought that stuff, too. My Gunsmith likes Thousand Island Dressing on his salads. I can't even stand to look at it on a Salad as it reminds me of that horrible orange Sandwich Spread.
Mayo doesn't have as much taste, IMO. I prefer Miracle Whip on sandwiches.
They both s***. I make my own mayonnaise. Takes twelve minutes. A world of difference
