Miracle Whip Versus Mayonnaise

Posted on 06/09/2012 9:04:20 PM PDT by FoxPro

I am torn over this.

Freerepublic.com has the smartest people in the world.

If you were to make the best BLT in the world tonight, what would you use?

I am quite serious about this.

LOL, I gotta have some bread with that... and NO cream cheese, except on a desert of some kind!

Hey! You don’t have to put Yankee in your description! Hellman’s was invented in NY! One of the few things I can be proud of up here!

See, that's why up in New England we Red Sox fans use Cain's Mayo :)

I grew up eating Miracle Whip - can't do it anymore...actually now it's whatever is on sale and I have a coupon for...with a lean towards Cain's

MaryAnn all the way. BTW, I asked my wife who she liked best on Gilligan’s Island. She said she found the Professor the most attractive (she loves smarts), but that Jim Backus was her favorite actor. For some reason she hates Gilligan.

Both the same product but have to use different names for some reason on either side of the country.

Just like Smuckers and Mary Ellen's (jam). Or, Edy's and Dryer's (ice cream).

For a quick tuna salad, a couple of boiled eggs sliced, a can of tuna and one or two dollops of Blue Plate mixed in, and you're in business!

No, no, no....you be in business, not me! I wouldn't eat that stuff with your mouth. LOL

Have one son and he’s fussy about any white stuff oozing. Just have to talk about Mayo and he gags.

He's got to be my long lost son or brother. Have we met? LOL

OK, thanks. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything but the Kraft brand around here. It looks like Thousand Island Dressing to me, which I hate, so I’ve never wanted to try it.

My husband’s mother had 8 kids so she made a ton of Bologna and Mayo sandwiches on Sunday and FROZE them, putting one in their lunches each day, saying they’d thaw by lunch. They didn’t.

Miracle Whip is nasty. It has to be mayonnaise, either Hellman's or homemade.

I tried Cain’s on a FReeper’s recommend. Good stuff! Possibly better flavor than Best Foods/Hellman’s but I like the texture of the latter more.

I see what you did here with this thread, btw. All of the current administration’s watching over our shoulders and all...and here we all are.

Using code words. All. Night. Long.

All under the guise of Miracle Whip.

Good job, Freeper, good job.

I liked the Professor. Man he kept that radio going on one set of batteries for a long time! Jim Backus was the funniest, I agree. I didn't hate Gilligan, but he's just—Gilligan! And my sister and I used to say wow, Ginger had a lot of clothes and make-up for a three hour tour!

Using code words.

I am very pleased this post has a lot of replies. I am learning a lot, even with the secret code words.

I’m a guy and I liked the Professor, too. I thought he was cool. And Gilligan was the whole reason for the show. If he didn’t ruin it for everyone they would have gotten off that damn island after about the third episode.

LOL! Just imagining Zero and the Drudge headline “Obama Watching.” Just think of the stimulus it will take to figure out this thread!
