Instead of letting the establishment act like everybody is happy with Mitt Romney, how about if everybody in the remaining primaries votes for Ron Paul in protest?
What is the worst that could happen?
At least Ron Paul is pro-life and wants to get rid of the vile, evil, Marxist income tax.
Mitt Romney is saying a lot of the right things, but talk is cheap for politicians at election time.
It should be ALARMING for conservatives to see how many of Romney's people have been advising the Obama administration!!
If you look at their history, instead of their promises, is Ron Paul better than Romney?
Delegates bound to Romney, who do not vote for him on the first round, will be disqualified. They will not prevent his nomination. The establishment has too much at stake.
A portion of that debt services Ron Paul’s earmarks.
>>>The more he gets, the more chance we have of getting their attention.
Ron Paul as a lesser of evils choice is still choosing evil. I refuse to chose evil - no matter what its named.
“I’d love to see Ron Paul as President, if for no other reason than to piss off the powers that be. The media and the two parties would be suicidal! “
“>> If given a choice between Dr. Paul, Mitt or Obama, Ill have to go with Dr. Paul, even if he is a tinfoil fruitcake.
> And if for nothing else, the entertainment value.
I almost forgot about that.
It would have high entertainment value.”
I’d love to see the heartburn on Rove and Kraut’s faces every time they had to think about Mitt having to spend more money to buy the nomination this time :)
If someone is more conservative than the person suupposedly running on a conservative platform, you can call him conservative.
The point is, if you wanted the more conservative person in office (which most Republicans and most in FR decidedly do NOT want) and the choice was between Romney and Paul, then you would vote for Paul.
And every other Republican’s earmarks.
Well,i am shortly off to vote.
If Gingrich is still on the Indiana ballot ,I will probably vote for him.If not Newt then Ron Paul. But NOT Romney!
Ron Paul is MORE dangerous to the conservative movement then Romney the RINO....
We CONSERVATIVES have a hard enough time trying to convince uninformed people what it is to be a CONSERVATIVE without having to explain why LIBERTARIAN NUT JOBS are not CONSERVATIVES.
I will correct the record at every chance....the guy is a freeking nutjob.
“I have tio go with Jim on this.
“Ron Paul and his flaming antiwar spam monkeys can Kiss my Ass!!”
- Jim Robinson, Sept, 30, 2007 “
But has he said that since Newt suspended his campaign?
We are left with two horrible choices - which one is less horrible?
There are a lot of us who will not vote for either socialist.
If Ron Paul runs on the platform of elimination of income tax coupled with the dismantling of all socialism...would he not win?
I think we were supposed to include Jim if we mention his name in our posts...
Sorry about that.
Voted for Ron Paul and got most of my family to vote for Ron Paul.
I didn’t tell you who to vote for.
Ron Paul is more conservative than Romney ever was or ever will be. If those are the only two choices, Paul is the conservative of the two.
Exactly.
Ditto.I think some choice words were said about Romney as well.
I think Ron Paul is a one-trick pony (audit the Fed) and I can’t disagree with that. However, I don’t care for his position on defense or foreign policy, nor would I vote for him for president. That said, though, I may just vote for him in our upcoming primary, if for no other reason than to poke Romney in the eye. It’s either that or write in Newt or Sarah — either which way, our primary vote has been rendered meaningless because of how late it’s held.
So, to be clear, for all practical purposes you are supporting Obama's re-election (presumably so that you will feel good about not compromising your principles).
But understand you will still compromise your principles -- to a far worse outcome -- by voting for anyone other than the Republican Party nominee (or by not voting, for that matter), thereby helping a socialist hellbent on destoying the American Republic to remain in power. That's what this boils down to in the end, my friend.
I can't imagine Mr. Reagan EVER stating that he didn't care if Iran got the bomb....
Mr. Paul said that very thing.....and “conservatives” still back him?
Not any real ones that I know.
“RP is proRKBA. Willard isnt.
RP is pro-life. Nominally at least. Willard isnt.
RP thinks global warming is a scam. Willard is a Believer.
RP has warts. Willard has hemorrhagic fever.”
Thanks - that one deserves a chuckle :)
I don’t think America is ready for Ron Paul.
