In 1974 the FCC adopted guidelines stating that although subliminal advertising might not be effective, they still felt it was a deceptive practice. If any broadcaster of TV or Radio signals uses a subliminal message they are subject to fines from the FCC.

On Sunday, 1 April 2012, during the Fox News program John “Stossel” - Stupid in America an advertisment was played for a medicine manufactured by Pfizer called CHANTIX ( varenicline ) tablets. At the beginning of the ad a female provides a positive testimonial about the anti-smoking product followed by the narrator's voice his first two words are “....Obama support....”. He then proceeds to describe the medicine’s positive and negative potentials.

I did a double take, and played the ad again ( Direct TV ), and sure enough the guy says "....Obama support....", whereupon I recorded the program at 12:37p PST.

• How widespread is this deceptive practice on American television, if it can slip pass the Fox News staff ?????
  How many companies supporting Obama are also using subliminal messaging in their product advertising to effect the election?????
  How does deceptive campaign advertising of this sort get reported by Pfizer to the Federal Election Commission as a campaign 'donation' to the Obama campaign; AND,
  Has the Obama campaign acknowledged and reported this deceptive political contribution to the FEC ????????????????????

I want to bring the public’s attention to the use of this deceptive practice by putting it on the internet, and thereby bring the media screaming and kicking to acknowledge the use of their medium ( television )to deceptively influence voter decision making.
