Prostitution is an ugly business. Most of these gals were sexually abused and think sex is love. Unfortunately, it seems they never put 2+2 together. They just go on abusing themselves.
I find it sad.
In the 1890's a gentleman could go to a "gentlemen's club", have safe ,clean sex a drink and it was all socially tolerated for the most part. It wasn't deemed dirty and the women were no crack whores. Especially for a single man, going to a high priced gentlemen's club wasn't looked down on at all. Thus the dating could take a more non-sexual course with the "pressure" off.
