I know this is funny and I don’t want to derail your thread, but is’nt it really sad that this story gets more coverage than the fact that this administration has put over 5 trillion more on the credit card they opened in my kids name?

The whole dog story is stupid and it’s frightening that it gets so much coverage. It illustrates a fundamental problem in our nation. We worry about gnats and are blind to the grizzly bears behind us.

Sorry to be Captain Downer, but the fact that the campaigns are barking at one another over this story speaks volumes.

This is the stuff that DRIVES the low information voter!

It’s GREAT!

You have to remember; 50% of people that vote in this country SHOULDN”T be allowed to vote. If a “MAN EATS DOG” story switches their vote: I am for it. Conservatives need to grab some of the votes away from the LOW INFORMATION VOTER that the Democrats have a monopoly on.

I just can't get excited about what the boy Obama ate. I've seen a fair number of FReepers mention trying dog while in Asia.

Most people in this Country have no concept of FIVE TRILLION DOLLARS.

When Bush was President, an Annual Deficit of $300 Billion was Front Page News.

Now that the SMALLEST Obama Deficit is THREE TIMES BIGGER than the LARGEST Bush Deficit we hear Crickets.

The Democrats started this Dog business, just like they started AttackWatch.com. They are paying the price for their behavior, and the longer Obama Eats Dog is in the Headlines, the better.

Without the Internet, only the Romney Dog Abuse story would be out there. Which makes me wonder, if Romney was such a Richy Rich back in the Eighties, why wasn't the Dog Crate on top of his Limo instead of a family Station Wagon like us Bitter Clingers were driving back then?

but is’nt it really sad that this story gets more coverage than ...

I have to differ. This is great political theater.

I did not vote for Romney in the primary and I still have a lot of reservations about his conservative bona fides, but I must admit that the man (or his advisers) really know how to run a campaign.

Look at what we have had in just the past week: Hilary Rosen, former RIAA consigliare, has been effectively removed from the campaign and Ann Romney has achieved rock star status; and now the "dog on the roof" story that all the MSM was drooling to run with has been completely taken off the table with this "Obama eats dog" story.

And the story is brilliant in so many ways. It plays to dog lovers; it lends itself so well to mocking - something this presidential administration has so sorely missed; it puts in play Obama's obvious foreignness, without being heavy-handed like the birthers.

I find myself actually looking forward to this election. We may well win, and laugh all the way.
